According to Megadeth's website, Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir has reached #15 on The New York Times Bestseller List, specifically on their "Hardcover Nonfiction" chart. (Note from Editor: We are sure this had something to do with it) The book was released in the US by Harper Collins, through their It Books imprint on August 3rd. Its British equivalent, Mustaine: A Life in Metal will hit stores in the UK on September 30th. You can order the book here
Dave Mustaine seems to have a boundless amount of energy, as he is promoting his memoir while at the same time rolling through leg 1 of the American Carnage Tour alongside Slayer and Testament. Megadeth is currently playing their 1990 album Rust in Peace in its entirety, while Slayer is burning through their Seasons in the Abyss album from the same year. Later this fall, the two bands will set out on Leg 2 of the tour with Anthrax.
Details about Mustaine's book tour appearances may be found on Megadeth's website.
