Have you heard Lamb of God's new self-titled album? Our own Max Heilman reviewed the album writing "there’s respect to be found in these guys choosing to do what they do best instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. [..] It’d be awesome to see Lamb of God do more to break the mold, but much of this 11th album slaps like it’s 2004." That's what we think, but what about one of the experts. One of the guys responsible for making heavy metal a global force? Metallica's Kirk Hammett gave the new album a shout out and spoiler, he's into it.
Hammett tweeted recently “As a long time Lamb of God fan , I just want to say that this album is SERIOUSLY GREAT !!!”'
That's pretty high praise from the Metallica guitarist. The folks in Lamb of God couldn't help but thank Kirk for the kind words.
Vocalist Randy Blythe left a comment on Hammett's Instagram post writing “Thanks bro! We appreciate it!”
Meanwhile on Twitter, Mark Morton wrote "Thank you Kirk!"
Bassist John Campbell retweeted the praise and joked "I mean, if Kirk Hammett is down…."
