Metallica is set to play their Helping Hands 2024 Concert & Auction on December 13 at the YouTube Theater in Log Angeles, CA. If you're not attending (as pretty much all of us aren't), Metallica will restream the whole show for free on their YouTube come December 19 at 3pm EST.
Helping Hands 2024 is set to feature Sammy Hagar with special guests Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, and Kenny Aronoff alongside SistaStrings, the sisters turned classically-trained duo named 2023's "best instrumentalist" by the Americana Music Association. The show will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
In addition to the show, Metallica is also auctioning off over 80 items online with all proceeds supporting "workforce education, the fight against hunger, and other critical local services." Check out the auction here which closes on Tuesday, January 7 at 12pm PST.
Better yet, Metallica is bringing their M72 tour into 2025 with a handful of North American dates across April through June. A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to local charities via the band's All Within My Hands foundation. The M72 2025 tour will feature Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies as openers, as well as Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills. Tickets are available here.
