There's been plenty of talk from James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, and Kirk Hammett about not really holding a grudge between Metallica and Megadeth. Considering it's been nearly 40 years at this point since Metallica's split with Mustaine, I can't imagine a bunch of grown ass men being mad at each other from their teenage years, but Hetfield has reassured us that he doesn't see the point in holding a grudge anyway.
Hetfield tells Marc Maron in his podcast that both Mustaine and Metallica have gone through some tough times, and ultimately he doesn't see a point in being mad.
“There’s no reason [for things] to not be good [between us]. At this point, we’ve all freakin’ fell off the wagon, we’ve all gone into the ditch, we’ve all gotten back on track, we’ve all learned from our stuff. And at the end of the day, it’s just journeys — everyone is doing a different journey — and why would you hold a grudge with someone or vice versa?”
So maybe we'll get that Big 4 show again after all, huh?
