Carcass frontman Jeff Walker is a notorious shit-stirrer, and at the band's first gig back last night with their new lineup (featuring drummer Dan Wilding from Trigger the Bloodshed and guitarist Ben Ash of Liquified Skeleton), Jeff had to address the recent mixing drama…
Last week, the news surfaced that longtime Carcass collaborator and producer Colin Richardson had quit the mixing process, due to "burn out" but at the London gig last night, Jeff Walker had to clarify…
“I did an interview with some Colombian radio station, and I was being very diplomatic [with regards to Richardson's decision to quit], and I said he quit because he was burnt out. You know why he [really] quit? To mix the new Trivium album.”
Surely, this will get some boos thrown in Trivium's direction, but it would be ridiculous to blame the band for something that was completely Richardson's decision. It's not like they put a gun to the producer's head.
Either way, Carcass's gig last night seems like it was a ton of fun. Here is some bootleg footage:
