Earlier this week, Black Sabbath's drama with Bill Ward took another turn with Geezer Butler announced that the band had invited Ward to play with them at their final U.S. gig but Ward turned it down. One problem though: Ward claims he never got such an invite.
I guess there must've been some miscommunication in the Sabbath camp, because Butler posted a public apology to Ward:
It appears Bill Ward was never invited to do a last show – my mistake. Sorry @billwarddrums

A classy move by Butler, who by all accounts, is still friendly with Ward. After all, they did appear together at an awards ceremony last year.
