Do You Have $2,500 To Spend On Vinyl?

Seriously, do you? Because we know a place.

Seriously, do you? Because we know a place.

Hydra Head Records have had some pretty cool sales over the years, notably in 2013 when they sold off a bunch of rare stuff as they closed their Los Angeles offices and in 2012 when they just needed the money to release more records. The sale they're having now is more the latter and doesn't mean they're shutting down shop in any way, shape or form. You can relax.

While you can shop around their site for some cool stuff to help them out, one package is going to jump out at you in particular- a vinyl package that costs $2,500 and is a whole slew of first pressings and test pressing from the label. Some of the things you'll get in the package are:

  • PCP Tornado and The Poacher Diaries by Agoraphobic Nosebleed
  • Calculating Infinity by Dillinger Escape Plan
  • We are the Romans by Botch
  • All Reflections Drained, Subliminal Genocide and 2005 Demo by Xasthur
  • Capture and Release by Khanate
  • Blue Lambency Downward by Kayo Dot
  • So, so much more.

Seriously, those are just a few of the titles that jumped out at me in the seemingly endless sea of titles in there. According to the description of the set, there not only 87 records that span sizes from 7" to 12" you'll be getting, but a bunch of unspecified free stuff! I feel like if you're spending $2,500 on a box of essentially every vinyl the label have ever put out, you probably don't need the free stuff… but you're totally getting it anyway, so good for you!

Whoever gets this needs to hit us up on Facebook with pictures. I need to see this monstrosity.
