With the news that Dez Fafara's wife, Anahstasia Farfara, has contracted cancer, it puts a wrench in any future plans Dez and his family may have had. With that, he can't drop everything and hit the road so Devildriver is forced to drop off their upcoming leg of the Static-X tour.
Fafara offered these comments:
“Hello everyone, My wife has been diagnosed with cancer. I will be staying home to care for her and be by her side every minute as she begins her Cancer fight with surgery and further treatments. Apologies to all but I’m sure you all understand that family comes before work. We thank you for all your well wishes at this time.”
Fafara noted that his wife underwent a major surgery on October 23rd related to curing herself of the cancer.
Devildriver's replacements have been named and they are either Drowning Pool or Mushroomhead depending on the city. Dope, Wednesday 13 and Raven Black will also appear on the trek. Show promoters have yet to clarify which shows Drowning Pool and Mushroomhead will be playing as of yet.
