DAVID LEE ROTH Predicted His Retirement In 1991, Almost To The Exact Date

He was off by just a few days.

David Lee Roth 1991

David Lee Roth announced his retirement from the music industry and his final tour dates in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal published on October 1. If you've ever watched the music video for Roth's 1991 song "A Lil' Ain't Enough," then maybe you should've seen that coming.

Right around the 4 minute mark in the video, Roth looks into a crystal ball with a psychic and sees a billboard that reads "Diamond Dave And THE ABSOLUTE FINAL TOUR." Then video then cuts to a very fat and bloated Roth pulling in a very Back To The Future-esque car, with the date at the bottom of the screen reading October 10, 2021.

If only Roth would've held on a few more days! Roth's final shows will take place at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV on New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, and then January 5, 7, and 8. When asked about the shows and his retirement in the recent interview, Roth classically responded "I'm not going to explain the statement. The explanation is in a safe. These are my last five shows."

Watch the video below. Maybe there are some other future Roth tidbits?
