SLASH & OZZY OSBOURNE Embarrass Themselves During The Super Bowl

I just witnessed the most horrific event in television history. If you were one of the millions of people watching the Super Bowl last night, you may have made the mistake of actually leaving the halftime show on which featured a set by the Black Eyed Peas. I knew I wasn't going to like it, but the overwhelming feeling of hatred that was bestowed upon me while watching them "perform" was shocking even to me.

At one point, I had to stop asking "How could this halftime show get any worse?" because the Black Eyed Peas keep answering! Midway through their terrorist attack on our eyes and ears, Slash appeared from under the stage with the opening riffs to "Sweet Child O' Mine."

I don't want to say that this was the moment that Slash sold out. Saying something like that is pointless. Slash had an opportunity to be seen by millions during the halftime of the Super Bowl, it was a great opportunity for exposure. Ok, I get that. So instead I will say, it is at this point that Slash lost absolutely all credibility with me. I am almost positive that somewhere in the mountains of Los Angeles, Axl Rose was rolling over in his grave. If you want to assault your senses, here it is one more time:

To add insult to injury, maybe ten minutes after halftime, America witnessed the much-hyped Ozzy/Beiber commercial collaboration. It was pretty awful. I still think Graham's alternate take would've made for a better sell, but here it is anyway:

Then again, before I get too carried away, I feel like Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato made a great point on Twitter:

People complaining about the "music" at the super bowl? I don't get bummed if a football game doesn't break out midway through a concert.less than a minute ago via TweetDeck
