Sad news to report for Quiet Riot fans, drummer Frankie Banali has had to check back into the hospital. Banali has been battling stage IV pancreatic cancer.
Banali revealed the news last night, June 15, on social media:
“JUST ADMITTED TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AT KAISER… IT OCCURED TO ME THAT THIS IS JUST LIKE DISNEYLAND EXCEPT THE LINES ARE SHORTER & THE RIDES ARE PAINFULLY SLOW… AND THE PRICE OF ADMISSION… OMG!”
Banali returned to the stage last November after successful cancer treatments. Quiet Riot were scheduled to play a socially distanced show on July 4th weekend at the Magic Springs Theme And Water Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas, but there has been no word on the status of the show as of yet.
We wish Frankie a speedy recovery.
