BRET MICHAELS teams up with KIDZ BOP

If you own a television, chances are you've seen those commercials for Kidz Bop, the collection of cover albums sung "by kids, for kids." Along with Kidz Bop being the #1 children's music brand for kids ages 5-12, it's also the #1 cause of douche-chills for everyone else. However, Bret Michaels collaborated with his daughters Raine and Jorja to record a new version of "Every Rose has its Thorn" for the upcoming Kidz Bop Sings Monster Ballads, which is set for a May 17th release. Michaels plays guitar on the track while his daughters provide the vocals. The Rock of Love star stated:

The most awesome jobs I've ever had are being a rock star, Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice winner, raising money for kids with diabetes and, most importantly, being a good father, so re-recording 'Every Rose has Its Thorn' with Raine and Jorja for 'Kidz Bop Sings Monster Ballads' was, by far, one of the coolest ways ever to combine my love for music and family: Not only do I get to rock out with my two favorite girls, but a portion of the proceeds will go to the American Diabetes Association and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. It's a great track for a great cause. 'Kidz Bop Sings Monster Ballads' is one party you definitely won't want to miss: So bring your strongest voice, best air guitar and get ready to monster rock.

It's pretty cool that Bret has been able to make music with his daughters… so for their sake let's not tell them that "Every Rose has it's Thorn" was written about Michaels' stripper girlfriend cheating on him. Here are the Monster Ballads covered on the CD:
