THE LUCID & INSANE CLOWN POSSE's VIOLENT J Reimagining FAITH NO MORE's "Epic" Is Something

It's been re-titled "Sweet Toof."

The Lucid ICP

The Lucid, the band featuring former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson and Fear Factory drummer Mike Heller, is now streaming their cover of Faith No More's "Epic" with Insane Clown Posse's Violent J. The cover has been retitled "Sweet Toof" and features a lot of alternate lyrics… think along the lines of when Kid Rock did "All Summer Long" with the backing track of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Sorry for making you remember that nightmare.

The first song with heard with Violent J fronting The Lucid was pretty decent rap rock – anyone who's into the genre would probably dig it. But this cover of "Epic" feels like maybe it was better left on the cutting room floor.

"Man quit playin'!" said Violent J of the single. "It's been an absolute honor and a privilege working with The Lucid! Being included among such monster talented and unbelievably cool people has been easily one of the highlights of my career so far. That's the absolute truth. Listen to it! Who the fuck can deny THE BEASTLY results? We KING KONG 'em!"

"It has been such a fun, creative, and organic journey getting to this point with The Lucid," added The Lucid guitarist Drew Fortier. "We are all very proud of what we have created together, especially with it being a completely independent endeavor.

"We love the Faith No More guys and their body of work and knew the perfect way to cap off our E.P. was doing a re-imagining of 'Epic' along with Vinnie and Violent J's twisted, and wonderful approach."

The Lucid will release their new EP Saddle Up And Ride on January 27. Pre-orders are available here.
