SOREPTION Returns With First New Single In Four Years "Död Jord"

Yes, it's techy and extremely heavy.

Soreption

Soreption is back for the first time in four years with a new single "Död Jord," and yes – it's all the crushing technical death metal you've missed from the band and then some. Better yet, the single comes alongside the announcement of the new Soreption album Jord due out June 10.

"Our main focus, as it has been in every album since the beginning, is to write death metal with a blend of technicality and groove," said Soreption. "The goal is to raise those two elements more and more for every release. Finding that balance keeping the music interesting is important aspects when we write."

Jord features one hell of a guest guitar solos list too from the likes of Ian Waye (Thanopraxia), Stefan Nordlander (ex-Soreption), Johan Andersson (Dråp), John Matos (Abiotic), Malcom Pugh (Inferi), Joe Haley (Psycroptic), Gottfrid (Independant), Dean Lamb and Tobi Morelli (Archspire).

Jord was mixed and mastered by Buster Odeholm (Born Of Osiris, Humanity's Last Breath, VildhjartaHacktivist) at Odenholm Audio and features artwork by Caelan Stokkerman, who handled artistic duties on their previous releases. Pre-orders are available here.
