Nü-Metal Legend ROSS ROBINSON Backs OMERTA As The "Next Generation" Of The Genre

Their new single is a lot to take in

Robinson Omerta

Legendary producer Ross Robinson is known as the godfather of nü-metal for a reason – dude is responsible for basically every classic within the genre. From Korn's 1994 self-titled to Sepultura's 1996 nü-heavy Roots, from Limp Bizkit's 1997s Three Dollar Bill, Y'all to Slipknot's 1999 self-titled, Robinson's influence is undeniable.

And now in 2023, Robinson seems bent on raising up the next generation of nü-metal. Robinson has publicly backed the Sid Wilson-produced band Swollen Teeth, and now he's doing the same on Twitter with Houston, TX-based nü-metalcore outfit Omerta. You can check out Omerta's brand new single "Antiamorous" featuring experimental rap artist JOHNNASCUS and decide for yourself.

It's not the nü-metal of yesteryear, but at least the genre is taking a step in a different direction with the next generation. It'd be a little boring if everything just stayed the same, right? Omerta will hit the road as openers with The Amity Affliction and Can't Swim this spring. Get tickets here.
