Into Eternity is all geared up to release their first new album in 10 years, titled The Sirens, on October 26. The record is their first with vocalist Amanda Kiernan, who replaces Stu Block after he left the band to join Iced Earth. It's also their first with guitarist Matt Cuthbertson and drummer Bryan Newbury.

While a lot of The Sirens' tracks clock in between six and seven minutes, the new song "Sandstorm" rips right through your ears in under four. The song also features guest vocalist Stu Block, which makes sense considering this song has existed since 2011 prior to his departure. Here's what guitarist Tim Roth had to say about the track and its relative brevity.

“Most of the other tracks are long epics, but ‘Sandstorm’ is a short, action packed song that holds plenty of firepower. Amanda did a spectacular job on the vocal melody and even though this song has a nice groove, there are still a lot of blast beats, guitar harmonies, melodic bass playing and shredding solos to be heard. This track also features Rob Doherty (low growls), Stu Block as guest vocalists as well as Justin Bender on the outro guitar solo. The songs lyrics were inspired on May 2, 2011 after the USA shot and killed Osama Bin Laden during a convert mission.”

It's worth noting that the only other short track on The Sirens is a cover of their own 2006 song "The Scattering of Ashes," which should be really cool to hear 12 years later reimagined!
