An excellent mix of melodic metal and some black metal influences.

Inexorum, the project headed up by Carl Skildum, will release their debut LP Moonlit Navigation on June 26. The band is now stream "Chains of Loss," which Skildum said is about both personal and global grief.

"I wrote 'Chains of Loss' in early 2019 while mourning the death of a dear friend. I was thinking about how universal the experience of grief really is and reflecting on how much I leaned on other people who expressed love and caring so freely. It was the empathy of others who showed that they knew how hard the loss was that helped the healing process. I had no idea that 2020 would find the whole world in a such an acute state of shared grief.

"Now it is my responsibility to hear and feel the pain of our communities of color who are disproportionately affected by Covid-19 while simultaneously dealing with the old scourge of racism."
