Good guys Metallica have teamed up with the U.S. Public Broadcasting System, P.B.S., to air their recent release, S&M2, for free on the channel.

The performance, which also features the San Francisco Symphony, to celebrate the opening of the Chase Center, will be broadcast tonight, October 29th. Here in New York, it airs at 9pm eastern time.

Metallica write "Ever think you’d see Metallica on PBS? Well now’s your chance! Check your local listings for one more hit of the two incredible nights we had with the San Francisco Symphony"

Check your local listings here. The website indicates that the concert will be available for streaming for a short period on the site. Update: Now that the broadcast has aired, a one hour version of the concert is available for streaming. An extended version is available for PBS members here. Watch below…
