The fan votes are in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Class of 2020 and the results are a little weird! As of the poll ending midnight January 10, Dave Matthews Band came in first place with 1,005,657 votes. Then Pat Bentar with 882,207, The Doobie Brothers with 784,729, Soundgarden with 722,931, and Judas Priest with 675,434.

Rock bands such as Thin Lizzy places eighth, Motorhead in ninth, and Nine Inch Nails in eleventh. Again – Dave Matthews Band in first.

So now, a new round of fan voting will commense with the top five vote getters. But, before you get too excited, please note that whomever wins this ballot will get the equivalent of one vote in the Rock Hall final voting ballots.  The rest of the votes come from those in the industry and music historians. So the aforementioned bands who didn't make it might still make it!

Either way, Judas Priest thanked fans for their support:

“A huge metal thank you to our Priest family for voting diligently and defending Judas Priest in the fan vote for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2020 – we made and stayed in the top five fan votes through your love and support.

“Whatever the outcome we are blessed having the best metal fans in the world of heavy metal!”
