Bradley Hancock, vocalist of local Salt Lake City hardcore band Close Grip was shot dead on Saturday (November 15th). He was only 24. The incident occurred at a local venue, The Core.
Close Grip were opened for Soul Search. Outside the venue, Hancock's younger brother was getting into an arguement with Quincy Earl Lawson, 20. After the altercation got heated outside the venue, Larson pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots before running off. Lawson has since been arrested and is under police custody.
Hancock was not so lucky, dying from injuries sustained from the shooting. He leaves behind a fiancée and one-year-old child. A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family deal with the loss.
