A few weeks ago, we posted our annual Album of the Year poll, asking you to vote on who you think had the best metal album in 2015. After a record-setting 21,743 votes, you, the Metal Injection junkies, have voted Cattle Decapitation's The Anthropocene Extinction the best album of the year with 1,687 votes, about 7.76% of the overall votes.
Hot on its tail was Lamb of God's new album, VII: Sturm Und Drang with 1,525 votes or 7.01% of the vote. Rounding out the top five where Ghost's Meliora, Thy Art Is Murder's Holy War and Earthside's A Dream in Static. The bottom half of the top 10 include Iron Maiden, Slayer, The Black Dahlia Murder and Between The Buried and Me.
Overall, you were a very divided bunch, with the "Other" field getting a lot of votes. Unfortunately, after tabulating the "Other" data, there was no one band that stuck out.
