Marilyn Manson – This is Halloween
The Nightmare Before Christmas is a great movie to watch any time between October and December. It’s a Halloween movie that’s safe for kids, and, since it’s about essentially about ruining Jesus’s birthday, it’s great for metalheads who hate Christmas.
There have been a lot of covers of Danny Elfman’s songs from the movie, so you may have also heard the versions of ‘This is Halloween’ from Panic! At the Disco or the instrumental one from Powerglove. Marilyn Manson’s cover might be the definitive take, especially since he uses his unique warbling vocals to sound like he’s a whole cast of characters from Halloweentown.
