Slipknot bassist Alessandro Venturella recently alluded to being in the studio with producer Ross Robinson, and Robinson himself also took to Twitter to make a cryptic reference to working with the band. Which also makes sense considering the band worked with Robinson on Iowa and vocalist Corey Taylor has compared Slipknot's 2019 album to Iowa quite a bit. Robinson is located in Los Angeles, and Slipknot also just put out a casting call for a music video whose shoot will take place in Los Angeles. So all signs point to Ross Robinson and Slipknot working on a new album together.
Except for guitarist James Root, who on a few Instagram comments denies the band is working with Robinson. But Slipknot also denied that Venturella and drummer Jay Weinberg were in the band when they were, so who knows if this is just Root denying things for the hell of it.
