Did OZZY OSBOURNE Let's It Slip That SHARON Was Involved In BILL WARD's Dismissal From BLACK SABBATH?

Ozzy may have forgotten to keep up appearances.

Ozzy may have forgotten to keep up appearances.

So remember way back in in February of 2012 when Sharon Osbourne denied firing Bill Ward herself. Here's the tweet just in case:

I took Sharon at her word, but perhaps her wording was a bit misleading. The reason I even bring this up is because with Sabbath now revealing that they will make one more final final album and that Ozzy hopes Bill Ward can get his shit together to be a part of the process, Ozzy's been doing some interviews about the forthcoming release and perhaps let it slip that Sharon had more to do with Ward being ousted than she originally led on.

Speaking to Billboard, Ozzy said:

“I would absolutely love that. We all would. We were all sad he didn’t come the last time. But I don’t deal with the dough and the business side; that’s my wife’s job. The thing is, when you’ve got four guys with four different agendas and managers, it gets pretty crazy. I just go, ‘You do what you’ve got to do, Sharon. I’ll do what I’ve got to do.'”

Of course this doesn't reveal that Sharon fired Ward, but rather that she was very involved in the negotiation. Sharon is still telling the truth here, she never fired Ward. But I'm sure what happened was that she offered Ward an offer so low that he had no choice but to walk out on the reunion. So while she didn't fire him, she certainly showed him the way to the door.

Are we reading too much into this or did Ozzy just throw Sharon under the bus?
