At The Drive In announced that it would not only be reuniting for a fairly extensive tour this year, but the group would also be coming out with a new album. It would be the band's first album since Relationship of Command in 2000, and while the initial excitement for the announcement was borderline insane, things seem to have taken a turn for the worst now that it's been announced guitarist Jim Ward will not be a part of the endeavor.
The band had this to say via Facebook…
As our ship prepares for voyage, we announce that Jim Ward will not be joining us on future journeys. We wish him well and are excited to see you soon.
…and the fans had this to say via Facebook.
So we'll see if Ward says anything, or ATDI makes another statement.
