EVERY TIME I DIE Made Some Celebrities Unhappy

Have you been keeping up with Every Time I Die's web series, Shit Happens? If you haven't, do yourself a favor and check it out. It follows the hysterical hi jinx of Buffalo's Every Time I Die on their world tour. These dudes know how to party. Anyway, the band is releasing these webisodes along with a bunch of extra content on DVD October 26th, and they thought it would be funny to post some fake re-tweets on their twitter of celebrities endorsing their product, such as:

"“for sure it will my man! RT @justinbieber: if I don’t have pubes by oct 26th, I’m sure the ETID DVD will give me a whole mess of em, yo!”"

"RT @AndyDick i did the Jimmy Kimmel show w/ @evereytimeidie in 08, they’re cracking me up, get their dvd"

"RT @peeweeherman: New ETID DVD in stores 10/26! I sure hope they play THAT in a dark, seedy theater!"

"RT @JimmyFallon @everytimeidie this is brilliant, you guys need to come play my show to promote your new dvd!”

Great stuff, right? Apparently, somebody got pissed because the band later tweeted "Thanx for the support, glad so many people enjoyed our fake tweets but we can't comment further on the legal troubles its caused, stay posi!" There were also tweets that cease and desist papers were sent… over fake tweets! It's all getting a little silly. I doubt the band will be in any serious legal trouble as long as they remove the tweets. After all, it was a joke. Ultimately, this got people talking and gave the band some free press for their upcoming DVD, so…a success?
