A lot of music venues aren't going to make it through the COVID-19 quarantine. The German federal government is at least trying to do something about that in their country with a €1 billion recovery fund titled Neustart Kultur (or Restart Culture if your German is rusty). The fund aims to help out the German cultural sector, and is giving €150 million to its music venues according to WeRaveYou.
"We want to save our unique cultural sector and give perspective to artists. With Neustart Kultur and in combination with other multi-billion-euro recovery funds of the federal government, we’re making a contribution that is internationally unparalleled," said Monika Grütters, the federal culture minister of Germany.
Germany had over 188,000 cases and over 8,900 deaths. Meanwhile, dipshit Vice President Mike Pence doesn't even want to recognize that there will be a second wave of COVID-19 here in America despite there being over 2 million cases and 100,000+ deaths. Oh, and "President" Donald Trump has suggested numbers would go down if we stopped testing. So yeah, one of the governments in this article is doing their job and trying to make their country worth a damn.
