Someone Turned COVID's Genetic Sequence Into Music NFTs And They're Pretty Relaxing

COVID is finally relaxing.

coronavirus

Look, everything about the entire COVID pandemic completely sucks. Though ViroMusic is at least making it a little more tolerable. ViroMusic has taken the RNA sequence of COVID-19 and turned it into music, and it's pretty relaxing! The music is available as a series of NFTs, though the project is streaming a handful of them below for free on YouTube.

"ViroMusic is a collection of songs made using the code inside the Coronavirus," said ViroMusic. "All the notes in the melody are a direct translation of the RNA code in the virus. The songs were made using a process called DNA Sonification, where every letter of the code is turned into a musical note. We wrote an algorithm to search through the code in the Coronavirus to find sections that sound musical, then we added human-played accompaniment on top of the viral melody (Cello, guitar, etc)."

If you're into it, you can check out the NFTs themselves here.
