A fascinating full-length digital album of Nirvana covers called Flea Circus that seemingly covers that band's catalogue's least-known tunes (I personally at least have never heard "Blandest", "Bambi Slaughter" or "Token Eastern Song"), In Utero's "Milk It" gets a decayed treatment here.
BLACK CILICE – Outerbody Incarnation
Sampling from Transfixion of Spirits (Iron Bonehead, out September 6th) finds this mysterious Portuguese figure continuing to traverse the lines between extreme, up front assault and shadowy, opaque crust-fidelity shapes of unknown origin. USA shows in October!
LINGUA IGNOTA – Butcher of the World
From tomorrow's Profound Lore release Caligula, the latest installment of Kristin Hayter's ongoing project finds the heaviness reliant on depth, silence, thick atmospheric tension and less electronic overload.
