Culled from the week’s past shows, these tracks have the Gimme Radio DJs' seal of approval, have the listeners demanding more and the Gimme office buzzing.

SCUMRIPPER – Nuns N' Doses

Out of the gates with their All Veins Blazing debut on Hells Headbangers, the filthy Finns known as Scumripper cull their cantankerous blob of sound from the black oily underbelly of all things punk and metal. A gargantuan garbage attack with off-the-rails bass lines that sound like some late 80's protogrunge Aussies like King Snake Roost or Feedtime.

BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID – Quintessence Of The Colossal Cosmic Entity

Funereal Death madness from Costa Rica, taken from The Apocryphal Paths Of The Ancient 8th Vitriolic Transcendence compiling two sets for demos from last year.

WORMWITCH – Dying In the Ashes

Extracted from Canada via Prosthetic, here's an interesting record swinging unexpectedly through black metal, D-Beat, and rich folky passages with ease and tempered aggression. Very interesting to see it all with the added plus of top notch songcraft; Jim Santanella interviews the band on the Tuesday 5/28 Gimme 5 program on Gimme, will preview the Heaven That Dwells Within LP.

ASEETHE – Throes

Noise, drones, and minimalism punctuate the sounds of this trio of guitarist/vocalist Brian Barr, drummer Eric Diercks, and bassist/vocalist Noah Koester, though no heaviness lags in the proceedings. Their new LP on Thrill Jockey hits this month, and they guest DJ on Gimme Friday 5/29 at 4pm PT for a glance at the DNA of their sound through influences and sounds they dig.

CRUSHED BUTLER – Factory Grime

Recently dropped into Ben Ward's (Orange Goblin) UK Proto-primer this past week on Gimme, this London trio left a dirt trail from 1969-71 only, total dockworker primal gruntrock. Frontman Jesse Hector later went on to form the Hammersmith Gorillas, and the sparse batch of the band's recordings got raked together via assorted millenial reissues well worth your coin.
