How can you not dig this dirt-clotted Kaiju-themed thrash trash (named for the weapon that killed Godzilla in the original 1954 flick)? After demos, splits and one 2018 LP OD are back with 'Sinister Monstrosities Spawned by the Unfathomable Ignorance of Humankind', rife with more terror-laced eminations from the throat of Lord Kaiju and all-around instrumental mayhem.

WITCHCRYER – I Rise

The Austin group rolls on some of Sabbath's more animated, uptempo moves to conjure up great hard rock swagger. Topping if off is excellent vocalist Suzy Bravo multitracking some commanding pipes, sweet and soaring melodies amidst a distinct groove, their proto-metal opting for a modern production technique that suits them just fine. 'When Their Gods Come For You' is out on Ripple August 20th.

MORBIFIC – Cadaveric Maggot Farm

These Finns rain death metal riffage on all with heaping doses of claustrophobic atmosphere (song title example: "Sulfuric Funeral") and do it well.
