New Zealand's Alien Weaponry have been creating their own inimitable band of rhythmic thrash for some time, singing in te reo Māori as well as English and very reflective in their cultural history. Their latest 'Tangaroa' (Sept 17, Napalm) should elevate their international repute somewhat, and they're giving Gimme listeners a treat: special guest DJ special September 28th.

Ah man, ten seconds into this no-holds barred Northern Irish trash and the leaping vocals of Philly Byrne and I'm sold. Unabashed students/fans of the genre and all that goes with it.
