I'll be the one to say it; thank God they did something different than their last single. It's not that the last one was bad so much as it was just kind of wishy-washy and everything you'd expect from the band. "Deadfall" takes a new approach to what passes for melodeath these days mainly by letting the keyboards just go nuts over the song without taking over. It's just a really, really nice blend of melodic death metal and strangeness, which makes me have a little more faith in the record than I did before.
