Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee performed the first five songs of the band's kickoff stadium tour show at Suntrust Park in Atlanta, GA before handing off the sticks to Tommy Clufetos (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath). In a statement to the crowd and on his Instagram, Lee cited broke ribs incurred days prior to the tour as the reason, though he still did a great job considering his predicament. Of course we wish Lee a full recovery from his injury, and a hearty congrats to Clufetos for his position! Clufetos is also a part of L.A. Rats with Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx. So the replacement isn't exactly out of left field.

"Man y'all ain't gonna believe this shit!" wrote Lee. "I broke 4 fucking ribs! But I've been resting and healing and even though the doctor tells me I shouldn't play at all, you know I'm stubborn and I'll beast through the pain every show for as many songs as I can! And have no fear, my boy Tommy Clufetos is here to help me out until I'm back at 100%… we've all been waiting years for this moment and there's no way I'm missing this! On with the show!"
