We knew it was coming! Slayer promised to release a new single, "When The Stillness Comes" on Record Store Day, and with the big day this Saturday, the band is going by a "try before you buy" mentality and offering a stream of the track right now. I'll stop talking and you can hit the play button:

Personally, the track brings back memories of Seasons In The Abyss, and I am totally cool with that. I like the slow, plodding build to the heavyness that surfaces at the end of the track.

Slayer spoke to Rolling Stone about the release and noted that two familiar tracks will be appearing on the new album, "Implode" and "Atrocity Vendor." Both have been re-recorded from their previous releases. Other track titles include "Take Control," "You Against You," "Chasing Death,""Cast the First Stone,""Pride," and "Vices."
No word yet on an album title or release date, but Slayer will be busy this summer headlining the Rockstar Mayhem Fest tour.
