There was a lot of hoopla last week when Dave Lombardo announced he would not be joining Slayer on their Australian tour due to some financial conflicts. You can catch up on the drama right here, but the bottom line is with Lombardo out, and Hanneman still recovering from his spider bite, only 50% of Slayer performed at Soundwave. How did they do?
Still sounds like Slayer to me…
Granted, these bootlegs are sort of awful, but overall, I'm sure the fans who attended were pleased with their Slayer fix. Regardless, I sure hope this is temporary because I just can't imagine seeing Slayer again with Lombardo and his massive drum chops:
