Cognizance is now streaming their new record Phantazein, whose runtime is sure to rip your head clean off. A perfect mixture of crushing death metal and blinding technicality, this is Cognizance three albums deep into their career and very, very confident in their abilities.
"This record is undoubtedly our most creative and individual record yet," said Cognizance guitarist Alex Baillie. "The evolution of Cognizance has always been driven by our intrinsic vision and less of what our fans expect the band to deliver based on our previous work."
Phantazein was mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström (Aeon, Blood Red Throne), given artwork by Dan P Carter (Behemoth, Empire State Bastard), and produced by Baillie and fellow Cognizance guitarist Apostolis Karydis.
