Cognizance is now streaming the new single "The Towering Monument" from their upcoming concept album Phantazein, due out January 26. Much like everything else Cognizance has ever done, the single perfectly treads the line between catchy and finger-breaking technicality.
"This record is undoubtedly our most creative and individual record yet," said founding guitarist Alex Baillie. "The evolution of Cognizance has always been driven by our intrinsic vision and less of what our fans expect the band to deliver based on our previous work."
Phantazein was produced by Alex Baillie and Apostolis Karydis, mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström (Aeon, Blood Red Throne), and given artwork by Dan P. Carter (Behemoth, Empire State Bastard). Pre-orders are available here.
