Current Six Feet Under Bassist Jeff Hughell has been involved with a number of other groups over the years such as Brain Drill and Reciprocal among others. What most people don't know is that he has been releasing fantastic solo material on the side for a couple years now.
He is on the cusp of releasing a new solo record called Trinidad Scorpion Hallucinations. Which is not only a funny title, but the album art pictured above drawn by well-known metal musician Tony Koehl is equally strange and awesome. We are proud to showcase the first song he is releasing from it that's called "Burn The Soul". Joining him on the track are legendary metal musicians such as drummer Hannes Grossman (Alkaloid/Blotted Science), fretless bassist extraordinaire Dominic Forest Lapointe (Teramobil/ex- Beyond Creation) and keyboard player Marc Gilson.
Go ahead and click play, an astral journey both progressive and punishing awaits you. But maybe it's best not to chug a bottle of hot sauce while listening to it, even though Jeff Hughell makes chugging hot sauce look really badass on the art for the album. A release date is coming soon.
