Well, the time has come to officially board the hype train for the new Dream Theater album. The band has announced their new album Distance Over Time to be out in February 2019 and have dropped 30+ seconds of a very heavy new track, as they'd been promising. Seriously, I think this trailer might be better than everything from The Astonishing as a whole. No further details are available at this time, but the artwork does look awesome!
Dream Theater has also announced a 2019 tour to go alongside the album's release. The tour is sub-titled The Distance Over Time Tour: Celebrating 20 Years Of Scenes From A Memory, though they haven's said if it'll be one where they play the album in full just yet. If that ends up happening, it'll be the first time in 20 years the band has played the 1999 record in full. Note that the tour announcement is only cities at this time and not venues.
Now go get you some heavy riffs below.
