DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Joined By Former Guitarist Brian Benoit At Last Night's Show

Man, Dillinger Escape Plan are really making the rounds with their former members. First, Mike Patton joins them in San Francisco, then original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis joined them at the New York show and last night in Norfolk, VA, former guitarist Brian Benoit joined the band onstage for the final breakdown of their big hit, "43% Burnt". Benoit was forced to leave the band in late 2005, after suffering nerve damage in his left hand, which left him unable to perform at the level required to be in Dillinger. It's a tragic story, but it was fun to see him come up for one final riff. I miss the dude! He comes in around the 2:50 mark. While writing this story, I was reminded of the crazy show they once performed at a tsunami benefit in the basement of a Virgin Megastore, which happened all the way back in 2005 and how amazing  that was. Watch footage from that show here.

On a  related note, to ametuer bootleg videographers with smartphones, especially iPhones….for the love of God, turn the camera 90 degrees and put it into landscape mode. It takes two seconds and makes everything look so much better.
