Hate Eternal bassist J.J. Hrubovcak's Death Metal Christmas – Hellish Renditions Of Christmas Classics EP is surely going to bring family and friends together, as we've heard from the first single "Unrest For Melancholy Men (God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen)." The bassist is now streaming second heartwarming, honest-to-goodness track that will be a favorite for caroling this year!
The song "Earthen Kings (We Three Kings)" above is Christmas brutality at it's finest. This is the music you blast when you're shopping for gifts in order to keep you from punching the nearest loud-mouth or pushy S.O.B. Hrubovcak has something a little different in mind, as the EP is supposed to be a sort of reverse Christmas story. He said about the song:
"At this point in the story, the kings of the world have already created regional unions to help them maintain a tighter grip over citizens and global policy. This was done at the behest of Azrael, under the guise of solving other smoke screen surface issues and has already caused suffering as a by-product of new policies. Little do they know, the greatest suffering is to come. The kings of the world are bringing alms to the new king (Azrael) and continually granting him more influence over policy until he is officially crowned (in public or behind the scenes) and turns on these kings."
The track list for the release, which is already out, is:
01. "Unrest For Melancholy Men (God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen)"
02. "Earthen Kings (We Three Kings)"
03. "Nutcracker: Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy"
05. "O Come, O Come, Azrael (O Come, O Come, Emmanuel)"
