We have a huge appreciation for 10-year-old musician Nandi Bushell. Whether she's putting out her own music, covers, or having drum-offs with Dave Grohl, the energetic tween is constantly putting a smile on our faces. Nandi is back with a new cover, this time tackling a heavier tune – "Unsainted" by Slipknot.
Nandi wrote on social media "“Yes! I am a total metal head! I love how awesome the drumming is in @slipknot! This is my first attempt at double pedals! Taking my playing to the next level. This song is called I #unstainted by #slipknot! Incredible drumming @jayweinberg! This song brings my A game."
Nandi shared the cover, and it also looks like she has a Ludwig endorsement, in addition to working with Vic Firth and Roland.
The cover got the attention of Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg, who wrote "Nandi!! You’re unreal! I’m blown away by your passion and energy. Keep shredding on those drums! Next time we roll through your town, give me a shout — you gotta show me how you do that stick flip right there." How cool is that?
