Members of SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, MORBID ANGEL To Cameo in New Horror Film

Randy Blythe has got the acting bug! Earlier this week, we learned he will be appearing in a Taiwanese action comedy produced by the band Chthonic and now we've learned he's making a cameo in a new horror film stateside. Not only that, but the film will also see cameos from Morbid Angel frontman David Vincent and Slayer frontman Tom Araya.

The film is called Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre: The Movie and is written by Justin Whitney and directed by Josh Vargas (who also contributed to the script). In the past, the team has collaborated on music videos for Warbeast, Down and Soil. They released this synopsis of the film:

Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre: The Movie centers on a hairmetal band that is struggling to find its own identity. The members decide to record their first full length album in a creepy cabin located in the middle of a notorious cemetery. Chock-full of weed, coke, and booze, the band discovers a secret in the cellar and unwittingly opens a gate that allows demons to possess the corpses in the surrounding cemetery. Forced to survive the night and with the odds getting slimmer, the band must battle hordes of the demonic undead and hope to get a record deal somewhere in the process.”

Sounds like a total winner. Some footage has surfaced of Blythe's and Vincent's cameos, which look to have been shot at last month's Housecore Horror festival:

Filming has wrapped recently, with a trailer expected soon. No release date is currently available.
