Let's All Live In The METALLICA Apartment Building

This rules.

Mersin Metallica

There's an apartment building in the city of Mersin, Türkiye that's sporting a giant neon sign of Metallica's logo on its roof. The building isn't some random investment from the Bay Area thrash legends, but instead the work of 56-year-old Mosbah Drav and his construction company Nirvana İnşaat (yes, like the band Nirvana).

But why is Metallica's logo visually blaring from the rooftop? Drav simply told VOA Türkçe in an interview it's because he's a fan. Which y'know, makes sense. "When I started this building, this construction, I planned to give the name Metallica. Why? Because I like this band. I like this music – hard rock, speed metal, Megadeth, Def Leppard."

Better yet, Drav said he's working on a second apartment building that he's planning on calling Guns N' Roses with a sign out front that says "Welcome To The Jungle." Hell yeah. I mean, who knows what the legal teams for Metallica and Guns N' Roses are gonna have to say about all this, but still – hell yeah.
