Every once in a while, we like to call your attention to something that isn't necessarily metal, but so great (or terrible) that it's worthy of your time. This video of Corey Feldman's performance on the Today show this morning fits right into this category.
Corey is out promoting a new DOUBLE album called Angelic 2 the Core. Somehow, he convinced the producers of the Today show to allow him to perform the hit single "Go 4 It," which he somehow found enough money to pay Snoop Dogg to rap on. Corey's band, Corey's Angels is an all-female group dressed as angels, while he is giving off a bit darker, more brooding, perhaps even, metal / goth look.
He goes on to explain the cover of his album, which you can see above, saying that angels are pulling him out of a firepit because “angels have probably saved me once or twice in my life.” That's why he started Corey's Angels, you see… to help girls who are lost and to “make their realities their dreams,” and also maybe it's a sex cult.
But none of that matters, because the real gold starts at about 1:45 when the performance of the single begins. It leaves me speechless. I can't put into words what I saw. Corey is living his dream and we are all just here to point and laugh about it…
