MELVINS Is Streaming A Chunky New Song Called "Captain Comedown"

It's such a simple riff and you'll never stop humming it.

It's such a simple riff and you'll never stop humming it.

Melvins has a split coming up with Le Butcherettes called Chaos As Usual, though there's no readily apparent plan to release the split digitally. So it's nice that we actually get to hear the Melvins half of the split!

"Captain Comedown" is a pretty damn chunky, slowly reckless jam that utilizes a simple-as-hell riff that I cannot get out of my head. Seriously, it's so damn catchy! Not that I didn't expect that from the group at this point considering Melvins' extensive history of being stuck in my head, but still.

Oh, and this features Pinkus from Butthole Surfers on bass. Observe.

"Captain Comedown" track from our tour 10". This one features Pinkus (Butthole Surfers/TeamHonky) slinging bass. Enjoy….this is NOT an "Empty Box" contest video.
