OZZY OSBOURNE Is Plotting Two Farewell Shows In Birmingham

Ozzy Osbourne's health in recent years has unfortunately stopped him for playing any shows, despite his obvious want to get back in front of a crowd. Osbourne's most recent cancellation was the Power Trip festival in 2023 when he admitted he just wasn't ready, later noting that he hoped to get back on stage in summer 2024.

While nothing has been publicly announced, Sharon Osbourne revealed on her Cut The Crap tour (via The Mirror) that there are two farewell shows being planned for Ozzy: "He won't tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like 'I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly'."

Sharon then revealed that the two shows could very well take place at Aston Villa's stadium Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham, adding "We will do it in Aston Villa where Ozzy is from."

"His voice is still absolutely perfect," she continued. "And all the time he has been off he still does his singing lessons so his voice is perfect. And he can joke yeah. He has all these melodies in his head. Even if you don't like his music you can't not like Ozzy, he just draws you in."

Whenever these happen, wherever these happen, it'll be a very sad day in the rock and metal world. Sure, Black Sabbath called it quits a few years back, but seeing Ozzy Osbourne exit the stage for the last time is just going to be outright depressing.

Osbourne fell at home in 2019, which displaced rods in his neck put in after a quad bike crash in 2003. He previously noted that his last neck surgery to correct the injury was his final one, mostly because he can't stand going under the knife anymore. His ailments also cost him a 2023 European tour, which wasn't surprising given his bleak outlook on the situation in late 2022.

The good news is at least we'll be getting (at least) one more Ozzy record. In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, Osbourne said he was plotting a third record for sometime this year. "I'm getting myself fit," he said. "I've done two albums fairly recently [both produced by Andrew Watt], but I want to do one more album and then go back on the road." Osbourne later added that he's hoping to once again work with Watt at his home studio in the UK.
