Dino Cazares said last week that he hopes to release new music in 2021, but there are some hurdles. In a recent tweet thread, Cazares explained just what the hold up is, and why they aren't recording just yet.
It all comes down to funding. The band is currently without a label and is looking for some financial help to complete the record.
When a fan suggested that the band crowdfund the record, Cazares intimated that due to the ongoing pandemic and people being out of work, he does not feel the time is right to do crowdfunding.
Also, Cazares made it clear the album would have live drums by Mike Heller and not a drum machine. Bassist Tony Campos will not be back with the band as he is too pre-occupied with Static-X, however Dino is open to a tour with both acts.
