Back in November, longtime AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was arrested for threatening to kill two people and for having possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.
You might recall it was revealed that Rudd had 130 grams of pot (!) and 0.71 grams of methamphetamine, which is not chump change at all.
What followed was a bizarre number of events which also included Rudd being arrested again for a bar brawl.
Today was his sentencing hearing, and according to Stuff.co.nz, Rudd has plead guilty to "possession of 91g of cannabis and 0.478g of methamphetamine, and one count of threatening to kill." I guess the amounts of drugs he had had been scaled down in the hearing? One of the "threatening to kill" charges were also dropped.
Rudd did not comment upon leaving the hearing and will remain out on bail. A sentencing hearing is expected for June 26th. With Rudd pleading guilty, I'm assuming there was a plea bargain arrangement as Stuff reports his lawyer is seeking a discharge without conviction and the prosecutor has yet to file any conviction.
We'll keep you posted on any further details.
